The Skiband got together to play in the hotels and bars of the Alpine Ski resorts. They learned to overcome language barriers and cultural divide by playing exciting and soulful music with visual humour and anarchic improvisation.

The Skiband usually perform as a theatrical strolling band: comical, cheeky, and engaging, (sing a lullaby to a baby, dub-step for a teenage gang, gleefully out-bark a dog)- their ability to find the daft and lighten the load is legendary.

Daz Jones- Indefatigable Sousophanist, also plays with jazz folk trio Red Hippo, previously with The Real Macaws and Skavolution.

Chris Preston- Leads Samba group Beatlife, teaching and performing across Europe. Brings wild drumming dialogue into schools.

Tony Burcherello- Awesome saxophonist and brilliant natural clown; played with Little Chief, Northern Big Band, The Real Macaws. Teaches jazz in inner-city schools.

Big Anthony- Incorrigible bursts of rude healthy humour and tender subtle trumpet, plays with The Brasshoppers, The Weave, Asix Quintet.

Ali Wood- Celebratory & visual theatre background, W.S.I., Whalley Range Allstars, accordion with Last Chance Saloon Danceband, previously The Real Macaws.
