The Fairly Famous Family was formed by Jem Hulbert nearly 20 years ago in Norfolk. Performing tightly choreographed juggling routines they quickly established themselves on the street theatre scene performing at the Gateshead Garden Festival, Expo Seville, Sidmouth Folk Festival and the Hackney Empire New Variety Finals.
New shows and walkabouts have followed combining comedy, live music and circus skills.
Nearly 30 years on, the company now has a core of six performers. With backgrounds ranging from musical theatre to glass blowing, they can draw on the varied pool of talent essential for comedy street performance.
Now based in Ambleside in the Lake District they split their time between writing, devising and skipping over verdant mountainsides singing hits from the shows.
