Gaia Cicolani

Gaia is an eclectic artist from Torino, Italy, currently based in Cardiff, Wales.

She works as a performer, movement director, facilitator and maker. Her experience encompasses collaborations with artists from diverse backgrounds and projects in very different settings, including site specific and traditional theatre, gallery spaces, outdoors and immersive theatre, dance, opera, film, photography and fine art.


Her background is in ballet and contemporary dance, fine art and art history. She has a BA in Contemporary Dance from TrinityLaban, and trained in acting at The Questors Academy in London.


Further professional development includes courses with Frantic Assembly, Peeping Tom and Theatre Re, as well as BADC certifications. Gaia regularly works as a freelance practitioner for NDCWales, Kitsch’n’Sync Collective and Jack Philp Dance. Some of her latest engagements include projects with Welsh National Opera, Karol Cysewski and Alex Marshall Parsons.

Miss B. is supported by Articulture Wales, and is Gaia’s first solo project.
