Village Disco is a small but perfectly formed 4 wheel mobile 12 volt sound system, with flashing lights, strobe and mirror ball - creating an intimate and interactive atmosphere. Village Disco explore the anti cool, encouraging the letting down of hair and letting go of ego in the pursuit of harmless ageless fun. Fancy footwork, competitions with prizes, requests and dedications all come as part of the package. Dance instruction comes as an occasional extra. Expect to see people bopping, grooving, jumping n jiving, laughing, smiling and dancing awkwardly, cheek to cheek in circles to the last smoochie number of the set in any field, street, office party, club, park, village hall or tent.
The Village Disco offers a variety of carefully crafted comedy characters to run the show: Dad’s Disco, Young Farmers, Bad 80s Bling, Cheesy Disco, King of the Grooves-Runcorn Holiday Inn Style, Swimming Pool Chic, The Wedding Party, Golfing Excursion, Cowboy Bonanza and 1950s House Husbands.
