Complete with heavy snow and tattered Union Jack, the Arctic Explorers are set in an ice bound world of absurd heroism, passing off pedestrians as talking penguins, terrified of dogs and pausing to hum patriotic songs as they claim undiscovered litter bins for the Empire.

Roll up, roll up….join Isaiah Crank and his sidekick Tolly Boy on a journey into the lost world of the Victorian sideshow. Using puppetry, ridiculous characters (including Queen Victoria and The Elephant Man), overacting and exquisite period ornament, The Strangelings narrate the tale of The Gaiety Engine, two showmen’s quest for the ultimate exhibit.
