The Strangelings more detailspublicity

With their unique blend of visual theatre and well observed comedy, The Strangelings’ reputation for high quality street performance continues to grow.
Tandem
Two men, a tandem, a trunk, a stage, and some unfeasibly long shoes. Strangelings have stripped it down to the bare essentials. Daredevil trick cycling, achingly beautiful acrobalance and a never before attempted escape from a double straitjacket. Contains scenes of middle-aged semi-nudity.

The Photographers
Meet our Victorian gentleman photographers, whose work has been called “stiff but exciting”. They will fully prepare you (with liberal application of facial hair) to be shot, hung out to dry and then framed. Seriously funny stuff.

The Gaiety Engine
A wolf boy, a squeamish fakir, the world’s only feline escapologist, and a mermaid named Terence- half woman, half fish… and half man! "Impossible!" I hear you cry, "Possible!" retorts Isaiah Crank, the dapper and demented, moustachioed impresario of the world’s last Victorian freak show. These are but a sample of the misfits in his menagerie. See him display them all ineptly assisted by his mute and mildewed cohort Tolly-Boy.

The Inspectors walkabout
In from the depot at Burnley, never satisfied with a caution when a ticket will do, the inspectors humorously enforce their improvised set of rules and regulations.

The Explorers walkabout
Definitely not lost, sustained by the sight of the flag and the odd Bourbon biscuit, scaling litter bins and lamp posts for the glory of the Empire, our bearded, balaclava-wearing heroes march nobly on…

The Liver Birds
Two 12ft high walkabout statues based on Liverpool's legendary birds, they were commissioned by Liverpool City Council in Sept 2003, these birds are finished as verdigris tarnished copper.
