Since their formation in December 2002, Los Albertos have been creating a frenzy upon the dance floors of Europe with their inimitable blend of ska, swing jazz, tango and klezmer classics - what can only be described as fairground dance music. The band writes its own music as well as offering its own twisted interpretations of traditional jazz and popular music classics.
Whether they are storming through a Los Albertos original such as Pikey Killed My Goldfish, or whipping up the crowd with a re-working of classics such as the Grange Hill theme tune or Sweet Georgia Brown, Los Albertos are quickly earning themselves a reputation as a must see favourite. Los Albertos are extremely adaptable – as well as playing on stage they are also entertaining street performers, mixing good-time jazz standards with novelty songs and childrens tunes. During the recent Edinburgh Festival they were invited to busk several times along the famous Royal Mile.
