Futter’s Child more detailsvideo publicity
Gothic slaphead Futter finds himself a teensy bit out of his depth when he’s left minding the baby in this quirky walkabout mime. Drawing on his limited life experience, well-meaning Futter does his best to look after his charge, a beautiful baby in a vintage pram, accompanied by unlikely music and other sounds broadcast from within. Clearly no natural when it comes to childminding, he offers the baby soft toys impaled on a kebab skewer and mistakes embalming fluid for gripe water. Surprisingly, no harm befalls his tiny passenger.
While there’s a subtle dark undercurrent to the performance (would you employ him as your nanny?) the emphasis is firmly on comedy, and laughs are plentiful.
