creature feature - gorillasPlan it with the Apes

Four Mountain Gorillas and their comic intrepid explorer. The Gorillas look and behave like real mountain gorillas, which the general public find fascinating. The explorer is the link between the public and the gorillas. Although s/he can be a comic character, s/he imparts valuable information to the public concerning the gorillas habitat, habits and general do’s and don’ts when in the mountain gorillas’ vicinity. As the Mountain Gorilla is almost extinct this act is not just entertaining but, as importantly, also informative.

Gorilla characters are: The Silverback - 600 pounds of prime, dominant male. He sits down a lot, lies down a lot, plays a little when he can be bothered and generally gets treated like a king! The Female - Flea pickin’, pit scratchin’, hen pecking, lovin’ mother. She sits down a lot grooming Silverback and Juveniles and plays quite a lot. The Juveniles - Two furry balls of cute, cuddly mayhem. They climb, tumble, walk and run in quadruped and biped and play all the time.

creature feature - Highfalutin'

Highfalutin’

The Restoration Coquettish cuckoldry and delightful ditties aplenty as we meet the Lord and Lady and their buxom maid, dressed in beautiful 18th Century style costumes. A highly visual and comic act with opera(ish!) singing, much flirting and general disgust with the public’s appearance! Verily flamboyantly frivolous walkabout.

creature feature - the gossipsJuicy Titbits – ‘The Gossips’

Comic walkabout with two 50’s style housewives gossiping over fake brick walls to each other and the public and telling jokes. Vi & Vi will fill you in (ooer) on the latest gossip. Humour is ‘carry on’ style with double entendres. Make up is bad & heavy. Suitable for family and adult events. Can adapt act for specific events; very good for information distribution. Need a double entendre? They’ll give you one!

“Thank-you very much indeed to our gorillas who did a truly fantastic job…they brilliantly entertained the audiences waiting to get into the luminarium” Shona Powell, Director, Lakeside Arts Centre

“…thanks to The Gossips for a great walkabout performance…despite the fact that ‘careless talk costs lives’ they fitted in perfectly!” Dianne Rivers, Birmingham City Council

“They are pure magic” Gulf News, Dubai

“This startlingly realistic performance will stop even the busiest passers-by in their tracks. Gorilliant!” Harborough Post & Herald, Market Harborough Festival 2003
