The Comedy Christmas Card

A walking Christmas Card slowly opens to reveal... a highly peculiar Christmas fairy who tries enthusiastically (but ineptly) to grant wishes. Flashing lights, tinsel, visual comedy & a plethora of surreal verbal nonsense. Christmas cards have never been this funny.

The Ice People

Jason is available for evening cabaret performances and can supply a range of human statues from traditional Greek and Roman to modern day and futuristic for any event, including the Ice People.

The Dragon

A beautifully crafted wooden dragon available as a musical installation to form the perfect centrepiece to any event. This hand cranked machine is 12 ft tall, plays music and flaps its wings. For Christmas, the music will consist of excerpts from The Nutcracker and Swan Lake together with other singalong seasonal favourites.

The Jelly Roller’ Dickensian Christmas Ding-Dong

Pushing their giant old-fashioned pram, decked in holly and ivy with angels on trombones and cherubs on trumpets, the Jelly Rollers will toast in the bleak mid-winter with their roaring renditions of your favourite old winter chestnuts. A virtuoso strolling musical performance to thaw the ice in Scrooge’s heart. Knees Up Ebeneezer, it’s time to tango Tiny Tim!

The Artist in Action leaves his humbug at home. Six-foot tall speed portraits of Santa executed with poise, panache, paint and a festive soundtrack. Original and unusual seasonal performance combining visual art and theatre immaculately timed to a musical background. The one and only Rock’n’Roll, Rudolph-the-Red-Nose-Reindeer Rolf Harris!

The exciting Christmas show from Larkin’ About. Three winged Angels in wonderful diaphanous costumes hover above the ground. Heavenly(??) music accompanies them and their neon halos shimmer. Meet the Heavenly Formation Flying Team who’ve come to Earth to practise for the big Christmas Extravaganza upstairs. Using the latest in motorised technology, Larkin’ About create illusions never seen before.

Christmas Magic Workshops

A colourful new approach to children’s entertainment. Give Your Christmas event added Sparkle with Makendoo. Festive painting and making workshops include; Santa, reindeer and snowman masks, tree decorations, plaster angels, magic wands, penguins and robins. Makendoo thrive at busy events and can deal with up to 200 children per day.

A Christmas Carriage

Walkabout show featuring Bob Scratchit pulling Scrooge around in his carriage. The carriage plays cheesy carols, sung by cheesy singers, produces the ‘Ghost of Bob Marley’ and explodes if required. This perambulating, pantomimic parody is guaranteed to induce paroxysms of pleasure and palpitations. A peripatetic, palladium packed with puddings, puns and pyrotechnics!! Can Scratchit save Scrooge from the Ghosties? Or will he be grabbed by the Ghoulies? This walkabout show is an irreverent look at the world of Ebeneezer Scrooge and Bob Cratchit.

Big Fat Fairy

A beautifully attired Christmas fairy wobbling around on a six foot unicycle, showering glitter and confetti as she rides. Will anyone notice the fairy is actually a hairy 18 stone man? How is he going to get on the unicycle in the first place? A hilarious piece of character comedy suitable for the whole family.

Man in a Christmas Present

Hilarious and astounding. The world’s only living box has now become the world’s only living Christmas present. Three foot high he scuttles around meeting and greeting. Give him half a chance, he’ll have you dancing and playing footsie.

This spirit of Christmas pop wanders the world with an advent calendar style display of windows, each one marked with a year. Take your pick and name the festive chart-topper hidden beneath. Winners get (chocolate) gold coins and the chance to sing the song – with a ghost! Eye-catching walkabout, pop quiz, sing-a-long and treat-giver all rolled into one!

Musical Ruth Goes Jingle Jangle!

Deck the shopping centres with boughs of holly and let's have a ding dong merrily on high. Here comes Musical Ruth and the amazing, magical, mobile piano!

Ready for the festive season, Musical Ruth's piano is chock a block with all your favourite Christmas songs. Crazy dance routines, hilarious facial contortions and mad sound effects are all mixed up with oodles of festive cheer. Special versions of Jingle Bells, Little Donkey and Mistletoe And Wine are just some of the Christmas songs performed by Sister Ruth, the madcap nun.

The Sanity Clauses

A gentle walkabout with surprising puppetry for close up interaction with the public. Two Father Christmases meander along reading their Reindeer Times journals. From behind their papers appear puppet revellers, an illuminated Christmas tree, flying reindeers, miniature Santa Claus, Christmas dinner and streamers. This is an entire mobile Christmas fantasy wonderland in miniature.

Circus Victoriana

A Dickensian walkabout circus in miniature, featuring jugglers, a foxy ring mistress, a strong woman, trapeze and tightrope, Auguste and white face clown. All the fun of the fair!

In gorgeous red or yellow costumes and draped in tinsel, this operatic duo will sing all your favourite operatic hits and carols with performances tailored to suit your corporate party, the shopping mall or wherever you need some sparkle. Oyster singers are classically trained, will delight audiences of all ages and actively encourage audience participation.

Inside, Father Christmas can be seen relaxing at home in the most startling and hilarious manner!

A stilted comedy 2 person walkabout with festive singing.

Roll up Roll up. Dig deep into the Dodger's bottomless pockets.

This Dickensian gent and the Artful Dodger challenge you to pick their pockets in the name of festive good cheer.

They are full of yuletide surprises. Like carrots! The winning pick pocket is rewarded with a Dickensian musical number of the crowd's choice.

Rudolf Nakabalakov

The internationally famous Russian ballet dancer with a fabulous lunch box. He’s suave, graceful, elegant and enjoys a bit of vodka in a salute to Russian excellence. Rudolf brings the sophisticated, glamorous world of the ballet to the streets and concludes with a rousing, truly explosive dance to the Russian masterpiece of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.

The New Improved Adventures of Robin Hood

An exciting, party-like atmosphere of comedy, improvisation, interaction and quite often thrillingly unpredictable responses as three members of the public are expertly guided through a raucous, modern-day, psuedo pantomime version of the story of Robin Hood.

A nine foot walking Christmas Tree complete with lights, decorations and a real live fairy on the top who is only too willing to hold forth (at length) on the need for warm, stout underwear and the difficulties of finding fairy shoes. (Don't get her started on the Campaign for Christmas Twice a Year!)

A perfect roving act, beautifully presented and appealing to all ages. Suitable for all venues except those with low ceilings.

The Red Hot Santas

Trumpet, Trombone/accordion, Tenor Sax, Sousaphone and Drums from the Brasshoppers & Real Macaws perform a spectacle of festive funk, Ska & calypso performed with a serious sense of humour. Your favourite Christmas tunes, as you have never heard them before! Winter Wonderland (reggae), In the Deep Mid Winter (Bossa Nova), God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen (trad jazz), Santa Claus is coming to Town (swing), I'm dreaming of a White Christmas (slush brass!) and more. Wearing their santastic Xmas outfits (complete with fairy lights) the Red Hot Santas bring their own irresistible party!

Yuletide Rock

A high energy, high comedy three piece on guitar, double bass and drums. Classics through the ages are taken and rearranged with a blend of vocal harmonies and hilarious routines including a stunning drum duet and ridiculous reindeer routine.  Songs include wild and wicked renditions from 'Santa Bring my baby back to me', 'The Sleigh Bell Song', 'Here comes Santa Claus' and the most up tempo version of 'White Christmas' you will ever hear.  They are performed with plenty of audience participation and will have the crowds laughing, singing and dancing on the streets.

A self contained radio-controlled life-size robot with video screen face, an independent voice box, huge range of animated actions and an electric personality, Sparky roams the streets like a friendly giant Christmas toy. For Christmas outings he comes complete with sparkling décor and twinkling illuminations for a shining and glowing presence. Magical and astonishing visual interaction, this mobile installation engages all children and presents a puzzle for adults. Why? Who?…and how does he work?

Yuletide Café

Complete with mobile piano, renowned pianist Dave Holland presents the widest repertoire of Christmas songs ever heard in an outdoor café setting with fairylit, tinsel laden palm tree. Featuring numerous festive tricks and stunts performed by the multi-talented Dave Id.

This dynamic duo, Barry and Yvonne, world class satirists of ballroom dancing take their comedy to the streets in a whirl of sequins, lycra and glorious vibrant colours.. For Christmas their costumes sparkle even more with the addition of L.E.D. lights. Non-stop humour, audience interaction and a unique version of the Pasa Doble.

The Arctic Explorers

Complete with heavy snow and tattered Union Jack, the Arctic Explorers are set in an ice bound world of absurd heroism, passing off pedestrians as talking penguins, terrified of dogs and pausing to hum patriotic songs as they claim undiscovered litter bins for the Empire.

The Gaiety Engine

Roll up, roll up….join Isiah Crank and his sidekick Tolly Boy on a journey into the lost world of the Victorian sideshow. Using puppetry, ridiculous characters (including Queen Victoria and The Elephant Man), overacting and exquisite period ornament, The Strangelings narrate the tale of The Gaiety Engine, two showmen’s quest for the ultimate exhibit.

Festive Frolics

Swank bring the traditional art of pantomime to the street with their usual crowd-stopping style. A pair of slightly round Christmas Fairies, Sugar and Plum, gorgeously attired in pink and silver with the their very own giant Christmas pudding. These fairies are full of Christmas fun and downright greedy. This walkabout is accompanied by background music from the Christmas pudding itself.

Damsels in Distress

Or, for more panto pranks they have the irrepressible Damsels in Distress Lady Lust a lot and Lady Longing for Love, borne on the backs of Eric and Ernie their delightfully drippy dragons.

Betty Twinkle and her faithful Robin Red Breast

Betty Twinkle, an old Victorian fairy borne on the back of Robin, her reliant red breast. Heeding Santa's warnings of staff shortages this Christmas, Betty Twinkle and Robin have left their country life to bring Christmas cheer to all throughout the land. Robin whistles classic Christmas songs whilst Betty works her magic with fairy dust, snow and chocolate gold coins for those who have been good.

A delightful solo walkabout, beautifully designed and wonderfully executed.

and Tree Dressing!

UrbanCanvas have developed a range of new and innovative Family workshops. Inspired by the ancient Celtic traditions of offering food to the Gods, encouraging the return of summer.

Using seasonal Fruits, Berries and Vegetables, we show how people can create amazing Sculptures and decorative hangings from the simplest of things. Sculptures can be taken home, hung on trees or even eaten!!

Ideal for Christmas Celebrations, Winter Solstice, Tree Dressing, Non-Traditional Seasonal Events. This workshop can also be used for summer events and Garden Parties.

Snow

Two beautiful princesses in snow white costumes, every inch a fairy story in their furry hats and boots. Available as a stilt walkabout or aerial silks piece.

White and Red Lights

Up to seven performers mesmerise the environment with simple starkly beautiful images in exquisitely illuminated costumes. Available as a 10 min choreographed show ‘Illumi-motion’ as well as a 40 minute walkabout, they are especially suited to site specific involvement for an event; with ribbon twirling, feather/flutterfetti throwing or as still sculptures.
