Avanti Display more detailspublicity

avanti display - the spurting manThe Spurting Man

Since 1995 when the show was first created, Avanti Display have presented “The Spurting Man” on three continents and in Thirteen different countries.

The show has met with popular and critical acclaim where ever it has played. The show dissects the unequal relationship between the famous speciality performer “The Spurting Man” and his downtrodden assistant. Performed to Ravel’s Bolero without a spoken word this show is meticulous to character and detail. The pompous “Spurting Man” shows his tricks whilst his assistant, dominated and undervalued, is given no credit for the role he plays. The assistant despises his master. The master ignores the assistant. The bizarre and unequal relationship lays the basis for a series of comic interactions.

Each trick the “Spurting Man” performs culminates in a display of squirting water until, finally crowned and, on top of his pedestal, the grand finale takes place and “The Spurting Man” cascades fountains of water from his body.

Mr Lucky's Party

avanti display - mr lucky's partyThe celebrated company behind the fabulous Spurting Man show present their newest production, Mr Lucky’s Party. The show is developed from Avanti’s popular character Mr Lucky. In this static show Mr. Lucky begins, as usual, alone under a perpetual downpour, but he is soon joined by a guest. During the tea party that follows our couple begin a celebration. Party hats, even a cake, appear, however with each course the weather worsens, the downpour increases and their mood blackens. Performed to a musical soundtrack with no text, the show is meticulous to character and detail. In typical Avanti style it concludes with a bizarre, spectacular and unexpected twist.
