The vintage ‘Paper Moon’ portrait studio.

An old fashioned photographer from the silent movie era dresses up and poses volunteers for portraits on a vintage paper moon...

With a musical accompaniment of gypsy jazz, find yourself under the keen eye of a world class comedy portrait photographer. This man of few words uses mainly gesture and eye movements to demonstrate to his sitters what to do-with ridiculous and hilarious results.

Sitters are shown how to pose, while being styled and dressed in a range of props and accessories. The silent movie will be brought to life with a series of tableaux turned portraits that refuse to stick to the usual conventions of gender or taste.  No selfies here, let the professional do the snapping and then wait while the mini dark room swiftly develops your real photograph for keepsakes, springing the odd surprise!

Available as an installation or cabaret performance.

Watch the Birdie was a huge success at Darnhill Festival. Garth was an absolute trooper he was busy all day - Families really loved dressing up and the audience enjoyed watching them posing. We have some great photos of the amazed expressions on their faces when they were presented with their photos.

‘Wow! That’s brilliant! And I really wasn't expecting an actual photo…’
